Start date: 16/5/22
Connaught House is a nurturing and happy, family run coeducational school. We have a one-form entry and a total of 76 pupils.
At the core of our ethos lies a dedication to the importance of emotional well-being as the foundation for creativity and growth and the value of developing soft skills and emotional intelligence.
Entrance is at 4+ and is based on an informal assessment. Our small class sizes, of between 10 – 12 children, enable us to focus on each child’s individual needs
The school is housed in a grade two listed Georgian town house in Connaught Village.
The school is situated in the heart of London, on the border of Paddington, Marble Arch and Hyde Park. It is a short walk to all three tube stations and a bus ride to Victoria and Paddington train stations.
Our curriculum recognises the importance of the core subjects whilst embracing a well-rounded education including subjects taught by specialist teachers in PE, dance, drama, art, music and languages. Trips and outings extend our curriculum with daily excursions to Hyde Park timetabled most afternoons.
Initially the position of the successful candidate will be to provide an opportunity to teach the core subjects, supported by a well-established and dedicated assistant within Key Stage One. The behaviour in the school is excellent and the children are motivated and keen to learn.
This post would suit a teacher who can combine a warm and caring approach with high expectations and lively and imaginative teaching.
We are looking for someone with experience but would support further career development. Closing date for applications is 21st February 2022.
