Due to the retirement of the existing Principal, the Academy Trust are looking to appoint a successor who can drive improvement and build upon the solid foundations already laid by the present Principal and highly committed staff.

Waterloo Academy is a popular, oversubscribed three form entry Primary Academy with a nursery located in the South Shore area of Blackpool. It has had a significant amount of investment recently, including a new sports hall, which now offers a greatly enhanced level of curriculum provision.

The new Principal will play a key role in moving the school to ‘Outstanding’ and develop the CEO role for the Zest Academy Trust. The Zest Trust currently has Waterloo Academy as its first school and the new CEO will be expected to enhance the current number of schools in its portfolio.

Prospective candidates will be expected to visit the academy prior to submitting their application.
