An exciting opportunity has now opened for an inspirational leader to join Astrea as the Principal of the Astrea Academy Woodfields, which serves pupils between the ages of 11 to 18. Astrea Academy Woodfields Academy became part of the Astrea family in September 2018 and there are exciting times ahead for the academy and new Principal. Astrea Academy Woodfields aims to provide a welcoming and supportive family atmosphere where self-esteem is nurtured and pupils are encouraged to offer and express their opinions. The academy delivers a broad and balanced curriculum, ensuring continuity and progression in order to develop literate, numerate caring thinkers and communicators.

Working with our CEO and Executive Director of Education, the Principal will be responsible for ensuring the educational success of the academy within the framework of their individual academies’ strategic plans. They will provide professional leadership and management and must establish a culture that promotes excellence, equality and high expectations of all pupils, whilst contributing to the success of all children within the Astrea family.

The successful candidate will be capable of working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and key stakeholders including the local authorities and Ofsted.
