About Harris Academy Falconwood

Harris Academy Falconwood opened in September 2008 on the site of the previous Westwood School. The Academy is accommodated in a purpose built state of the art building. We are oversubscribed and popular with parents. Academy performance is Good and the budget is healthy.

Your opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join a Federation with over 80 executive and academy leaders, all of whom are committed to working together and transforming lives across London. The post would suit either an existing Principal, or a Deputy, with the leadership skills to create an Outstanding Academy. We can provide first time Principals with all the support needed in the form of individual mentoring from an established Harris Executive Principal. Alternatively, we can provide experienced Principals with progression opportunities to Executive Principal within Harris.

In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is closed until further notice. However, during this period it is our intention to continue with critical recruitment for key positions starting in September 2020. About Harris Academy Falconwood

School summary

Harris Academy Falconwood is an 11-18 co-educational academy for 1,100 students. The academy opened in September 2008 on the site of the predecessor school. Harris Falconwood benefits from a brand new, state of the art £25 million building offering the very latest facilities and equipment. Ofsted judged the academy to be Outstanding at both its inspections in 2011 and 2014.
