The successful individual will have demonstrated a significant impact on teaching and learning in their current role and will also possess the vision and drive to work in close partnership with The Greetland Academy Trust to ensure West Vale Primary School achieves maximum success for all those in its care.
West Vale Primary School
West Vale Primary School has been at the heart of West Vale since 1879 and continues to be a proud and well respected focus within the local community. Currently there are 172 pupils on roll. In March 2017 it was placed in ‘special measures’ and in March this year the school joined The Greetland Multi Academy Trust, thus becoming a sponsored Academy.

The Greetland Academy Trust
West Vale Primary School is a part of The Greetland Academy Trust and therefore benefits from wider support within the Trust. It provides specialist school improvement support as a National Support School with linking system leaders, including a National Leader of Education and Specialist Leaders of Education, and we have recently been designated as one of 22 National Research Schools as the ‘Oldham Research School’. As the Trust continues to grow our roles offer pathways for ambitious and dynamic individuals who are determined to make a difference.
The Greetland Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS checks are required for all relevant posts.
