Job overview

Could your inspiring leadership establish and shape a new primary school?

New Generation Schools Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust formed in 2012, is seeking to appoint a Principal Designate/Headteacher for Hope Community School, a brand new, two-form (3 -11) entry Primary Free School opening in September 2018 in Northfleet. Our MAT already comprises one other successful member school in Sidcup with another opened in Southampton in September 2017 and with plans to open more over the coming years.

This is a rare opportunity for an existing or first-time Head with a track record of achievement in education and with the vision and skills to set up, open and lead our new school and create an exemplar model of education.

HOPE is exactly what this school offers to the community of Northfleet. The school will open with two Reception classes and a 26 place pre-school, expanding to 420 NOR over the years. The school will be at the very heart of the community; reaching out to local families to increase children's aspirations, encourage a spirit of adventure and maximise each child's talents by underpinning the Christian values of generosity and hospitality to create community pioneers. Inspiring children (of all faiths and none) to not only value their community but also develop the desire, ability and tools to transform and enrich it through innovative and aspirational visions.

So, are you looking for another exciting challenge? Or maybe you know of a passionate, well-qualified, outstanding teacher with successful senior leadership experience who could grow into the role - perhaps a Deputy Head, Assistant Head or Year Leader looking for a leadership challenge?

Candidates would need to be committed Christians with a clear understanding of the needs of very young children as well as successful, wider primary experience.

To find out more about this role and to discuss your situation and what we’re looking for in complete confidence, please contact Liam Dowds, our Emmaus Leadership Advising Consultant who is assisting us with this assignment, on 01737 652043  or ldowds@emmausleadership.me .

Closing Date – Monday 27 November 2017 at midday
Interview Day – Thursday 7 (Eve) & Friday 8 December 2017

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child and we expect all applicants to share this commitment.  Appointments will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
