Job overview

Bolder Academy will open in September 2018. We want our new academy to be an outstanding secondary school, enhancing the local provision in Hounslow by meeting the proven demand of local families for a mixed gender, non-denominational school.

The proposers of this new school are Hounslow’s family of schools, the Education Improvement Partnership (EIP).

A Bolder Future Awaits: We will have high expectations, nurture the talents of our young people, expand their horizons, provide them with ample opportunities to grow as individuals and prepare them to take their place in the global community as both team players and potential leaders.

We will do this through an exciting, innovative and academically rigorous curriculum which supports the transition from primary school, teaches the national curriculum whilst promoting sports and the arts and looks outwards to the challenging business and economic world of the future. Our rich curriculum and organisation of learning will be based upon leadership, producing literate, numerate problem solvers and decision makers.

With a track record of nurturing a collaborative and inclusive environment, our new Principal Designate will encourage new thinking and inspirit everyone in the academy to aspire to and attain their best. An inventive, highly visible presence, you will drive academic excellence and innovation in the curriculum and promote inspired and engaged teaching in each and every classroom.

You’ll start from a position of strength within our brand new multi-million pound building, supported by the EIP and a community that anticipates this addition to Hounslow’s thriving educational landscape.

There will also be an opportunity to meet with members of the proposer group during a presentation about the free school on Tuesday 24 January.

For an informal (and confidential) conversation about this exciting opportunity, or to arrange to attend the presentation, call Charlie Wiffen, Helen Stevenson or Jo Fish at Navigate on 0203 637 5007.

  • The closing date for applications is 10am Friday 10 February 2017.

  • Shortlisting will take place on Tuesday 21 February 2017.

  • Final Panel interview will take place on the Thursday 2 and Friday 3 March 2017.

Bolder Academy is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this post.
