Principal of Magna Academy Poole 

Salary negotiable (based on experience) + performance bonus

Magna Academy Poole is a mixed age 11-18 comprehensive currently with 850 students, growing to 1200.   

Magna Academy Poole has been on a significant journey of improvement over the past five years after becoming an Aspirations Academy in August 2013. The Academy achieved an Outstanding Ofsted judgement within 18 months. This was repeated in December 2018. Throughout the five years of operation Magna Academy Poole has significantly improved its GCSE examination performance and has been oversubscribed in Year 7 for the past 3 years. The Academy achieved a validated Progress 8 score of 1.15 in 2018

The Academy became a National Teaching School and National Support School in 2017.

The role of the Principal of Magna Academy Poole is very unique and exciting. We are looking for someone with the character, skills, experience and abilities to take an outstanding school to the next level, maintaining the current strengths of the academy whilst developing the education provision to deliver an authentic education for the 21st century

The Closing date for applications for Principal is 4pm on Friday 22nd February 2019. Successful candidates will be invited to interview by email and phone by Tuesday evening 26th February. The Managing Director will request permission from the successful candidates’ schools for a 1 hour visit to their school to see them in context on either Thursday 28th February or Friday 1st March. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 6th March at Magna Academy Poole and Thursday 7th March 2019 at Aspirations HQ in London.
