Sunmarke School is Fortes’ latest flag-ship school offering a ‘value for money premium education’ located in South Dubai, serving the fast growing ‘new Dubai’ residential communities. Sunmarke is an all–through school which offers a wide range of curriculum pathways catering to the diverse needs and interests of the 21st century learners. 

Sunmarke follows the National Curriculum of England offering the GCSEs, A’Level programmes, and also provides alternative qualification routes including BTEC. Sunmarke is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and Career-related Certificate and is currently pursuing full accreditation for these programmes which will be offered from September 2019. At Sunmarke special emphasis is placed on blended learning and the integration of technology into the curriculum in keeping with the educational rationale for the school. Sunmarke’s Senior Leaders and Teachers are trained in Positive Education, the best practices in education, and are chosen for their inspirational teaching styles.

Within its First 100 days of operations, Sunmarke achieved a ‘Good’ on its first DSIB inspection which it followed on with another strong showing of ‘Good’ in its latest March 2018 DSIB inspection, in which the school achieved 42 uplifts from ‘Good’ to ‘Very Good’ in the inspection sub-parameters. Sunmarke for the second year running had achieved outstanding GCSE and A’ Level results and is amongst the best of those published within the UAE.

The Board of Directors invite applications for the role of Principal for Sunmarke School from May 2019, following the appointment of Mr. Keith Miller who is currently the Executive Principal of Fortes Education to the role of Director of Education for Fortes Education after three years of exceptional leadership.

This is an opportunity for a leader within education to join an ambitious, innovative and cutting-edge school group as Principal, responsible for leading, growing and developing Sunmarke School. 

The Principal will be responsible for academic standards, delivery and attainment via the provision of leadership, vision and strategic direction across the School.
