Job overview

Leadership Scale: L8 – L21

Up to £10,000 recruitment and retention allowance for an exceptional candidate.

St’s Chad’s CE Primary joined Trinity Multi-Academy (MAT) in March 2019, making it the second primary school within the Trust.  Like all the schools within the Trinity MAT, it is guided by the Trust’s four core principles:

Empathy – Honesty – Respect – Responsibility

Put simply, at St Chad’s we have a distinctive Christian ethos that underpin all we do.

In 2019 St Chad’s achieved results that were significantly above the national average across nearly all areas.  At KS2, 77% of pupils achieved the expected standard across Reading, Writing and Mathematics (RWM). This was a further increase on the previous year’s results and some 12% higher than the national average.

The school is a vibrant learning community, inclusive and caring in its approach to all.  It is now seeking to appoint a Principal to take it onwards in its journey to become outstanding in all areas.

The successful candidate will help us retain our friendly, welcoming and nurturing approach, while making further improvements to ensure that all children receive a first class education. This is an opportunity to join a high-impact leadership team within an expanding primary sector.

What can we offer you?

An opportunity to be part of the Trinity MAT, an organisation that is improving the life chances of thousands of young people.

An outstanding professional development programme, supported by our very own Trinity Teaching School Alliance, West Yorkshire Maths Hub and White Rose Maths.

The support of a dedicated team of leaders, both within St Chad’s and across our other schools.

A proven suite of school improvement strategies e.g. Behaviour for Learning (BfL), which ensures a calm and productive learning environment.

What are we looking for?

An inspirational, motivational and visionary leader who can build on our strengths in order to lead St Chad’s towards being outstanding in all areas.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged and welcomed.  If you would like to arrange this, or for an informal conversation with Emma Hanlon (Director of Primary), please contact a member of the administration team on 01484 712361 to arrange a visit.

Start date:       January or April 2020

Closing date: 5pm on Monday 07th October 2019

Interviews:     Thursday 17th October 2019

Apply now! For further information on this role, the benefits of working for the MAT and how to apply, visit our recruitment website www.trinitymat.org/all-vacancies  Here you can also view our Staff Prospectus.

Trinity Multi-Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  All appointments are made subject to an enhanced DBS check.  We are an equal opportunities employer and want our staff profile to reflect the community we serve.
