Fairview International School, Bridge of Allan, is a certified International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum school offering a holistic learning experience through the world-renowned IB learning framework. It is the first school in Scotland to offer an uninterrupted continuum through IB education for students aged 5-18 through the delivery of three IB core programmes; Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP).

Offering more than the standard curricula, the IB programmes focus on critical thinking and academic integrity, stressing the significance of questioning, comprehending, and responsibly utilising information in the digital age.

Fairview International School has a rich heritage of providing inspirational learning to students for over forty years. We are six schools, over 300 teachers and a body of 3000 students. That’s the Fairview family; with further plans to continue to expand the Fairview family within UK and globally.

Academically, Fairview has consistently achieved for the last 5 years an average IB Diploma Programme score of 36. Furthermore, by affiliation, Fairview is also an authorised IB teacher-training centre; our University College Fairview (UCF) runs the Bachelor of Education, the Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) for those seeking a new career in teaching and the Masters in Education for new and existing teachers. The PGDE is recognised by both UK National Academic Recognition Information Centre (UK NARIC) and the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS). It is also one of the few institutions globally, not only certified to train IB teachers, but is directly attached to IB World schools offering the advantage of teachers gaining academic qualifications whilst teaching without any gaps in their career.

Offering guidance and stewardship to the strategic direction of Fairview Global is its Council of Governors, which includes 3 former Vice-Chancellors and the former Director General Emeritus of the IB Organisation.

Fairview Bridge of Allan is situated in central Scotland in the old spa town of Bridge of Allan. Strategically placed in a beautiful woodland setting, it commands wonderful views towards the Scottish Highlands.

The school benefits from exceptional transport links and is widely accessible across the central belt with regular direct train services running to Bridge of Allan from both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

While well connected, Fairview also possesses desirable rural qualities, namely the extensive grounds in which it stands including acres of woodland. As a certified Forest School, this outdoor learning space is the perfect environment for students to learn while gaining a sense of responsibility and respect for nature.

Neighbouring Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence, Fairview’s location also benefits from access to Stirling University’s exceptional indoor and outdoor sporting facilities, including its pool which a number of Fairview students currently use to train alongside Olympic swimmers.
