The United Private School's (UPS) Vision is to be a leading education provider in the region. Our philosophy is to foster strong ethical, cultural and educational standards within our students which is reflected in our enhanced school curriculum.

UPS is a relatively new and rapidly expanding bi-lingual provider offering education from KG1 to Grade 12. We operate in four locations across Muscat. The schools offer the EYFS and the English National Curriculum up to Grade 6. Beyond that we deliver a combination of CIE, Cambridge, and Ministry of Education programmes between Grade 7 and 12, including IGCSE.

The current vacancy is in our Primary School based in Athaiba, Muscat. Currently this has approximately 470 pupils and 45 teaching staff. It is the smallest of our four schools which in total have c2500 pupils, making UPS the largest private education provider in the capital.

The Board seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and highly capable Principal/Headteacher who will inspire, support and lead, building on our existing achievements.

We are looking for a Principal/Headteacher who will:

• be a motivated, approachable, innovative leader with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice and experience of senior management.
• continue to raise standards of progress and attainment across the school with a commitment to excellent learning & teaching  to ensure that every student achieves his/her full potential.
• ensure the delivery of a high-quality, broad, balanced and engaging curriculum
• work collaboratively and supportively with all members of staff to promote a team-work approach throughout the school
• continue to develop the strong values-based ethos of the school.
• lead by example with enthusiasm, wisdom, passion and creativity, drawing on their own experience and that of those around them to inspire both staff and students.
• excel at strategic planning and have sound understanding of financial management and be outcomes driven.
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Schools and the other 3 Principals/Headteachers of the schools that comprise UPS , as part of a wider senior management team, to meet our Vision and ensure consistent standards and educational experience across the organisation.
• continue to develop our links with parents and the wider community.
