Goffs Academy in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, is seeking a dynamic, creative and progressive Principal to lead the next stage of its development. Goffs is the lead school within the Generations MAT, and benefits from ambitious staff, Trustees, parents and students, many of whom are first generation university and higher education students. This role offers the right person an opportunity to lead a school that fundamentally underpins social mobility and enhanced life chances.
About the role
The post would suit an ambitious leader looking either to extend their current experience of Headship, or one undertaking their first Headship in an aspirational and rewarding environment. You will have full delegated authority for the day-to-day running of your school, working with an exceptionally strong senior team and wider staffing.
Each Academy within the Trust has its own distinctive personality. There is absolutely no insistence on a one-size-fits-all model. Your school will therefore reflect your ambitions for your students and staff, within the overarching Trust umbrella. We fundamentally believe that great classrooms make great schools. As part of facilitating your focus on ensuring outstanding delivery for your students, we have a highly experienced MAT central team providing a wide range of expert support services, including HR, Finance, Income Generation and ICT.
This is an exciting opportunity and we are very much looking forward to meeting our next leader. Informal conversations with the Executive Principal, Alison Garner, are welcomed,
and visits to the school are highly encouraged. If you would like to discuss the post in confidence and/or visit, please call Nina Wood, PA to the Executive Principal, on 01992 424200 extension 201.
Please email the Trust’s HR Director, Harriet Muxlow, (email@example.com) for the recruitment pack and further information on the role, school and Trust.
