International School Debrecen seeks for the School year 2020 an inspirational and entrepreneurial Middle School Principal to launch the Middle School – grades 6 - 10. The school opened in September 2019, in a state-of the-art facility, as a co-educational day school with students from pre-K to Grade 6.

This exciting new venture brings the ethos of a rigorous child focused education, extra-curricular excellence and outstanding pastoral care to the historic city of Debrecen in Hungary.

We are now recruiting a Middle School Principal for the next stage of the School’s development.

This is a unique opportunity to establish and shape the development of a School which aims to become a leading educational institution. Within the School’s organizational structure, the Middle School Principal will help create and implement the next stage of the School’s development as a thriving learning community offering the MYP and later the IB Diploma.

• In depth knowledge of the MYP plus the ability to implement all aspects of the   authorisation process

Required Qualifications and Experience

• University degree holder.
• A minimum of 8 years’ teaching experience and 3 year’s experience in a management position in an educational institution such as MYP Coordinator or Middle Years principal.
• Excellent knowledge of the MYP and its implementation process.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Commitment to the IB philosophy and IB learner profile.
