Make your mark and transform lives

Since joining the Oasis family in January 2014, standards within our Academy have started to improve, but we still have a long way to go until we can claim to be a truly outstanding school. With this in mind, we need an inspirational and visionary leader with high expectations to build momentum and lead us in raising attainment and giving our pupils the word-class education they truly deserve.

Coastal Location

Our multi-site Academy is set across two locations on the Isle of Sheppey. Based in the affordable areas of Minster and Sheerness, there are beautiful coastal views from the Academy classrooms and offices and fast, accessible networks from London and the Kent region.

Investment and Growth

A £52 million investment programme has allowed us to transform our Academy into a world-class learning space for our students. Now home to a 250-seat auditorium, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, ICT suites, engineering centres, motor vehicle workshops, recording studios and a beauty salon, the Academy’s vision of helping our young people reach their potential is beginning to be realised. We are enabling exceptional.

Rapid Improvement

Whilst there is a strong momentum for improvement, having realised improved outcomes in 2017 with Progress 8 now at -0.41 from -0.55 in 2017, we were judged as ‘Required Improvement’ with Good for Sixth form by Ofsted in March 2017. We are passionate about the potential of Oasis Academy Isle of Sheppey and are looking for a solution-focussed and resilient leader who is wholeheartedly committed to raising standards and creating a first-choice school that nurtures and develops our pupils and provides them with the exceptional education they deserve.

We are looking for someone who is motivated to engage with this tight-knit local community and work creatively to develop bespoke and tailored services to benefit them more widely. This could include closer collaboration with local primary schools, finding ways to develop the land surrounding the Academy and potentially working with local government in the development of wraparound care for whole child.
