Would you like a Principal’s office with a sea view? Based on the beautiful Isle of Wight, this is a rare and exciting opportunity for an ambitious leader to help shape the future development of our 7-25 residential SEN provision. St Catherine’s is a charity which operates a non-maintained special school, college and Post 19 provision that supports 67 children and young people with severe and lifelong speech, language and communication needs and associated conditions.

Set on a hill overlooking the seaside town of Ventnor, St Catherine’s aim is to support children and young people to achieve more than they ever thought possible. The trustees wish to appoint a Principal who embodies this aim and who will value and protect the many strengths of St Catherine’s. They will also have the vision and energy to drive the school in the next stage of its development.

You will be a qualified teacher, who is an experienced special school senior leader with a proven track record of leading successful change and driving new initiatives. Experience of working in a residential setting and NPQH are desirable.
