Job overview

Queen’s Gate is an independent day school offering an excellent all-around education to girls from 4 to 18. Housed in five elegant buildings on the southern fringe of Hyde Park in South Kensington, the School is proud of its traditions and rich heritage whilst also being forward-looking and outward facing, reflecting the spirit, vibrancy, and diversity of London.

With just over 500 pupils, the school has high expectations and a commitment to ensuring that each girl achieves academic success, whatever her ability. It aims to create a secure, happy yet stimulating environment in which each pupil can realise her full potential and develop a love of learning both in and out of the classroom. The development of self-discipline is promoted in an atmosphere where freedom of thought and ideas can flourish. The School prides itself in the range of extra-curricular opportunities on offer as well as its involvement in outreach both locally and further afield.

The Board now seeks to appoint a new Principal to succeed Mrs Rosalynd Kamaryc when she retires in August 2022 after sixteen years of outstanding service. The successful candidate will be ambitious with a genuine commitment to the ethos and the values of the school, and a track record of academic and professional leadership of the highest quality. The post offers a tremendous opportunity for an inspiring and committed leader with energy and drive.
