Loreto College, a leading Catholic Sixth Form College on the Hulme/Moss Side boundary in Manchester, is seeking an outstanding leader to become its next Principal, to shape the College's future and build on the exceptional achievements of our students and staff, on the retirement of our current Principal. The college has been an educational provider in the area for over 150 years and recently completed a £40 million rebuilding programme.
We are one of the largest sixth form colleges in the country and regularly ranked as one of the top performing colleges in the North West for A-level grades (APEJ, with an excellent record of progression for our comprehensive, multi-ability and diverse intake of 3,300 students. Loreto has an outstanding financial and Ofsted rating and was designated as a teaching school in 2014 providing a strategic lead for the 'Teach Manchester' alliance. We form part of an international network of Catholic schools and colleges established by the Loreto Sisters. Loreto has been awarded the Queen's Anniversary Prize for Further and Higher Education for achievement in an inner city context.
