Methodist Ladies’ College (MLC) is one of the largest independent girls’ schools in Australia with more than 2,000 day and boarding students and 800 staff. Internationally recognised for its extensive curriculum throughout, MLC also offers multiple academic pathways in Senior School - the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), including Vocational Education and Training and the International Baccalaureate. The College has three Australian campuses, with the main campus located close to the centre of Melbourne, and two remote campuses in country Victoria.

Following nine exceptional years leading MLC, the current Principal is returning home to the UK at the end of 2022. The Board is seeking to appoint a Principal who will build on MLC’s outstanding reputation in girls’ education and strive to further raise the profile, ambition and performance of the school. They will be a person of impeccable integrity and have a strong reputation as a successful educational leader, with a deep personal commitment to excellence.

MLC structure comprises four learning communities or schools where learning and personal development programs have been tailored to meet the unique needs of each age and stage of students' growth. Junior School (MLC Kindle – Year 6), Junior Secondary School (Years 7 and 8), Middle School (Years 9 and 10) and Senior School (Years 11 and 12). Our Years 7 to 12 teachers work across at least two schools.
