The Board of Redlands is seeking an inspiring educational leader to succeed Dr Peter Lennox, who is retiring in late 2019 after 12 years of outstanding service.

Founded in 1884, Redlands is located in Sydney’s Lower North Shore and serves students from Preschool to Year 12. We aim to inspire students to achieve life-readiness and to let their light shine, through the provision of a world recognised, contemporary education.

High quality teaching, based upon Harvard University’s Cultures of Thinking, underpins the academic success of our students. In the Secondary School, we offer both the International Baccalaureate and the Higher School Certificate. Our students are also encouraged to explore their individual interests and talents through an extensive range of co-curricular opportunities across the performing and visual arts, sport, technology, outdoor education camps and service activities, including unique programs such as the Redlands Winter School at our High Country Campus in the Snowy Mountains and the onsite Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy. As a school grounded in the Anglican tradition, we aim to nurture well-rounded, confident and compassionate young adults who are well prepared to become engaged global citizens.

This role requires a highly experienced educational leader with the clarity of vision to lead this unique school community. The successful applicant will be a thought leader in contemporary education, with demonstrated experience of implementing a research based approach to pedagogy and who supports the Christian ethos of the School. Approachable and highly visible across the Redlands community, our next Principal will possess the gravitas, warmth and authenticity to inspire and engage students and stakeholders alike.
