This is an exciting time to join and lead Oasis Academy Brislington. The Academy is now rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted following its recent inspection in November 2021 where the Academy showed a record of academic improvement founded upon an ambitious curriculum.

Are you an ambitious and driven leader who strives to make a difference?

Do you have a passion to transform the lives of students and have a positive impact on the local community?

This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional leader and accomplished practitioner who has the passion, drive, and commitment to deliver inspirational leadership to an experienced staff team across the Academy. We are looking for you to be innovative, highly flexible and show initiative with high levels of emotional intelligence and personal resilience, whilst harnessing the ability to be adaptable and agile in a dynamic environment and lead the Academy during this exciting period of growth.

Growth and development

Currently the academy has 1360 students on roll. However, this oversubscribed Academy will reach its capacity of 1445 students from September 2023. Students are able to flourish in an environment where lessons are personalised to ensure that all abilities are catered for including supporting students who have the greatest developmental needs (the Academy has a 45 student Resource Base providing education for students with EHCP’s) and challenging and extending those whose learning is developing at pace. Staff benefit from strong CPD and use a variety of teaching techniques to make sure that every student continues to receive the best learning opportunities throughout their educational journey.

Effective Partnerships

We do not expect you to do this alone. You will enjoy the support and challenge of a Regional Director along with the wider Oasis Community Learning (OCL) National Team. By being part of a family of 52 Oasis Academies, you will collaborate with expert leaders in their field and benefit from a strong support network and partnership with 4 other OCL secondary academies within the South West cluster. You will have many opportunities to share best practice and drive continual improvement, including an annual regional conference, Cluster Improvement Networks, and access to a growing CPD programme nationally.

OCL is committed to making a difference to the lives of the communities it works in, and as such you must show a willingness to demonstrate commitment to the values and behaviours, which flow from the Oasis ethos. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share this commitment and to undergo appropriate checks, including enhanced DBS checks.

Take the next step in your career and apply now!

If you would like more information about this exciting opportunity and/or would like a confidential discussion about the position or to arrange a visit to the academy, please don’t hesitate to contact Sam Russe-Jones (sam.russe-jones@oasisuk.org / 07977 516552) to arrange a call or a meeting with Peter Knight, Regional Director.

To apply, please submit a completed application form FAO Temi Aje to OCLRecruitment@oasisuk.org by no later 9:00am on 20th February 2023. This role offers a challenging but highly rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational outcomes of thousands of students. Our young people deserve the best: your role will be to ensure that they receive it.
