The Governing Body of Plymouth Studio School is looking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational leader with a proven track record of successful educational leadership to join the school in April 2017.

Sponsored by City College Plymouth and the University of St Mark & St John, Plymouth Studio School provides a new and innovative approach to learning for 14 to 19 year olds, offering a unique way to combine academic and sporting excellence with skills for future careers.

The School offers a combination of GCSEs, A levels and BTEC qualifications combined with specialist pathways in Sports Performance, Sports Development & Coaching and Sports Management, alongside work placement and mentoring opportunities. The School works with Olympic and Commonwealth level coaches and has access to world-class sports performance facilities.

With a maximum of 300 student places, Plymouth Studio School provides small class sizes, focussing on personalised, tailored learning, allowing each student to reach their full potential - giving them a chance to combine their sporting achievements and training with academic excellence and a variety of career paths.

For non-sports students, a Professional route allows students to study for their traditional academic qualifications in a motivating and stimulating environment.

About Plymouth Studio School

Plymouth Studio School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Plymouth, Devon. It is a free studio school supported by a multi-academy trust called the Plymouth Studio School Trust. An average-sized secondary school, Plymouth Studio School will provide 300 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 14-19 when fully subscribed.

Located at the same campus as the University of St Mark and St John, Plymouth Studio School opened in September 2015.
