of Master of Wellington College International Bangkok, the Board of Governors of  the British Primary School and British Secondary School of Wilanow is looking  for an outstanding Principal to continue building the strength and reputation of  our growing School.

This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-looking, visionary leader with UK

phases of its development into one of Europe's top 3-18 independent British
international schools.

Starting date preferably August 2017 but January 2018 is also possible.

The School

BSW offers a strong British education, founded in the National Curriculum for
England and enhanced to meet the requirements of the Polish Education Ministry. It is located in the upscale Warsaw suburb of Wilanow, where old meets new and  city meets country. The historical Royal Palace of King Jan Sobieski overlooks new, stylish cafes and shops as well as leafy green fields and woods. The  school has the best of all worlds.

The Primary School opened in early 2015, in purpose-built accommodation on a charming greenfield site, with a handful of Nursery-age children. Numbers for 17-18 have grown to around 160 and there are waiting lists in most yeargroups.

Construction is underway to complete the Primary School section and continue
through to Senior School. Current targets are for a capacity of 650 students
once the whole facility is complete.

BSW is a Candidate Member of COBIS and will undergo a Compliance Inspection during the 2017-18 school year, which will trigger full membership. The School is an independent organisation, not a part of any group of schools.

The School’s vision is to encourage the development of Knowledge, Creativity,
Intellectual Independence, Inquisitiveness, Self-Confidence, Resilience, Honesty and Compassion in all its students, through the provision of a broad,
stimulating and rigorous curriculum, alongside a varied extra-curricular
programme. The development of a strong approach to sport and fitness is an
important part of the School’s character.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be dedicated to educational excellence, fiercely ambitious for the School, creative, energetic, flexible and genuinely respectful of students, staff, parents and the wider community.

Application

Interested candidates should, in the first instance, send a full, up-to-date CV, accompanied by a letter of application and details of three professional referees (of whom one must be the current or most recent employer) by email to
