Due to the forthcoming retirement of our current Principal, Halsnead’s Local Governing Body of The Heath Family (NW) MAT are seeking to appoint a highly-motivated, enthusiastic and inspirational leader to lead the future development of our school.

Halsnead is a larger than average, vibrant and happy primary school set in the village of Whiston, within the borough of Knowsley and less than ten miles from Liverpool City Centre. The area is to undergo a substantial growth in the near future with the development of Halsnead Garden Village, including 1,500 homes, a country park and a variety of community and leisure facilities. 

We currently have 364 pupils on roll aged from 3-11 years including a Nursery unit that offers wrap-around care and after-school provision. Support for vulnerable children and their families is a strength of our school, with staff working closely as a team to ensure all children strive to achieve the best they can. We are extremely inclusive and pride ourselves on the nurturing ethos we have. Our motto is ‘strive to achieve’. 

As a school, we work hard to provide a curriculum matched to the needs, interests and abilities of our children, in an atmosphere of trust, friendship and mutual respect and in an environment that is attractive, stimulating and supportive of learning.
