Applications are invited for the position of Principal at St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School (current enrolment 500), North Rockhampton, commencing 20 January 2020.


St. Anthony’s is a Catholic, co-educational school catering for students from Prep through to Year 6. As a Catholic School we teach knowledge and understanding of Catholic beliefs and traditions. We also aspire to be a community where children experience and see our beliefs and values in practice, “by word and by deed”.


The Principal is the religious, educational and organisational leader of a Catholic School within the Diocese of Rockhampton. This leadership position will have a deep commitment to providing quality Catholic education based on a personal faith, participate in the faith life of their parish, as well as have appropriate teaching experience, academic qualifications and leadership qualities.


The Principal provides leadership and exercises prudential stewardship of the Catholic School. The Principal is ultimately responsible for the Catholic identity and ethos, curriculum and effective management of the school.


The leadership and direction provided by the Principal will be consistent with:

• The message of Jesus and the Gospels;

• Catholic church teachings, principles and values;

• Diocesan policies and directives;

• The Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton Charter;

• Catholic Education Mission Statement;

• Catholic Education policies and practices; and

• Catholic Education Strategic Directions.
