The governing body offers an exciting and attractive prospect for a leader of vision, imagination and commitment as we seek a successor to our current Principal who has led the school out of 'Requires Improvement' to 'Good.'

The new Principal will have a clear focus on continuing to raise standards of achievement and attainment within the context of a broad and creative curriculum underpinned by a confident and open Christian ethos. Headship experience is desirable but not essential.

St Mary's Church of England Academy is a 5 - 11 primary school that became an academy in September 2011 and currently has 420 pupils. It serves the market town of Mildenhall and has a very good reputation both locally and more widely.

The development, care and value of every pupil is at the heart of all that the school does, providing an education that is inspirational and enables each individual to realise their potential.

The academy has established partnerships with the local schools (The Lark Partnership) and a Teaching Partnership with Cambridge University. It is a member of the Cambridge and Suffolk Schools Alliance (CASSA).
