Principal, Sydney, NSW

KambalaNew South Wales

The Council of Kambala seeks to appoint the School’s next Principal, following the announcement that Shane Hogan is departing in the middle of 2021 to establish a new school.

Kambala has long had a reputation for academic excellence, a strong sense of community and a beautiful harbourside location, but our ambition is to go beyond these. We are halfway through our strategic plan, focused on ‘Inspired Learning. Empowering Young Women of Integrity’. This clarity of purpose has shaped the major programs we have launched, supporting outstanding learning and teaching, nurturing each girl’s potential in all spheres, caring for our girls and staff, strengthening relationships within our community and developing a masterplan for our facilities to support the best learning outcomes.

Our next Principal will inherit a happy and thriving school that is on an exciting journey, bring inspiring leadership, create warm inclusive relationships, and have an educational focus that aligns with our commitment to excellence in all domains and continuous improvement. Our Principal will role model our values of Humanity, Courage, Curiosity and Respect and support the Christian ethos of Kambala.

Odgers Berndtson is assisting Kambala with this appointment. More information on the role can be found at For a confidential conversation, please contact Jane Harlen or Juliet Steel on +61 2 8905 3746.
