Salary Range L28 to L38 £75,708 to £96,724 per annum based on experience 

Governors and Trustees are seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative individual who will have a unique opportunity to lead the school as it becomes part of The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT) and continues its journey to outstanding. Penketh is a founder member of TCAT and this exciting and innovative cross phase trust is well placed to provide system wide leadership experience for the successful applicant. The Trust includes local secondary schools, a sixth form college and primary schools and it is an approved sponsor of a Church of England High School. 

 We are keen to hear from candidates who will: 

 • Have a strong record of school improvement  • Build on the school’s current strengths to ensure it meets the needs of all its stakeholders • Provide innovative leadership of teaching and learning to ensure that standards continue to improve • Inspire pupils, staff parents and the wider community  • Empower individuals and promote teamwork for the benefit of all.

Penketh High School is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Warrington, Cheshire. It is an academy converter supported by a single-academy trust called Penketh Academy Trust. The school has an on-site provision called the Orchard Centre. It also has a partnership with Kwadeda High School in South Africa, with whom it made a feature film called The Opportunity. A larger than average size for a secondary school, the school will provide 1,344 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18.

Penketh High gained academy status in April 2013.
