This is an important role within the organisation to provide procurement support and expertise to our schools by procuring goods and services to ensure students get the most out of the funding available for their education. You will be responsible for running procurement exercises across all non-staffing spend to suppliers to maximise the value for money secured for our students. This is an ambitious, growing organisation, with a national profile. As a key member of this team, you will have significant scope for future development and will be instrumental in the ongoing success of 25,000 students, and therefore, the organisation.

To apply for this position, you need to have:

• Experience of completing a range of PCR 15 compliant procurement activities and drafting all associated tender/contract documentation to effectively manage commercial risks

• Experience of drafting specifications, preparation and issue of tender documents, evaluation of proposals, contract award and administration

• Knowledge of current legislation within specific category areas and its impact on market management, finance, and contractual arrangements

• Robust knowledge of procurement metrics and systems with proven ability of setting, monitoring, and achieving KPIs

Please note, this position requires driving.

In line with the Government’s announcement, our academies are closed until further notice. However, we are still busily planning ahead and are excited about welcoming new recruits to come and join us. In place of academy based interviews, we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are still available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible. Every effort will be made to try and accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage.

Understandably, visits to the academies are not possible at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like a conversation about the position please email Zara Jones, Procurement Manager at recruitment@outwood.com who will be happy to assist.

About The Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT)

Interim Chief Executive Officer: Lee Wilson

The Outwood Grange Academies Trust was born out of the success of Outwood Grange: a large school with 2,200 students, which has achieved record results for the last decade.

As one of the highest performing Family of Schools in the North of England, we have transformed education and outcomes across a network of 40 primary and secondary academies. Working closely together and sharing best practice, our schools do whatever it takes to ensure that every child, irrespective of starting point, can realise his or her full potential and unique talents.

Whether you’re joining us as a support staff member, an ECT, in a leadership position, and everything in between, we will invest in you and your development throughout your career.

By all working together, supporting and motivating each other, we believe we can raise current standards, and transform the lives of our students. If, as a Trust, we support you to help you reach your potential, we can help ensure all the children you teach will also reach theirs.
