Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW operating 56 Schools and 8 Early Learning Centres.

About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for all aspects of strategic procurement: managing end-to-end delivery, providing expert advice, negotiations, and deployment of complex procurement activities.

The overarching objective of this role will be to develop and maintain sound working relationships with current suppliers and identify potential new suppliers to ensure the maintenance of the supply to key clients.

We are seeking dynamic, professional that is well-organised and highly motivated. You will have the ability to work autonomously with the ability to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders and experience in building the procurement function from the ground up.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven ability to provide technical or specialist advice on the application of CECG policy to complex procurement activities
  • An ability to project manage and lead the design and implementation of assurance, monitoring, rectification and reporting activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including drafting accurate and succinct reports and briefings to communicate complex issues
  • An ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders, and negotiate and influence outcomes
  • High quality organisational and project management skills, including the ability to develop a new team and work program where there is no known precedent
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team of high-performing professionals to create a positive workplace culture
