Job overview

Reporting to the Director of Partnerships for Tes Institute and remotely partnering with an experienced sales team the School Advisor, Teacher Training, will be the product expert for all B2B sales and commercial activity within clearly defined territories for Tes Institute.

International business development is a key focus for Tes Institute as we build our presence in target markets overseas with a suite of online and blended teacher training products, such as our international Postgraduate Certificate in Education (iPGCE), Assessment Only route to QTS, NQT Induction, Teacher Licensing and the launch of a new Virtual Learning Environment for teachers’ CPD.

Scaling-up our international B2B activity with schools and stakeholders will accordingly play a central part in achieving our strategic goals. This role will act as the relationship manager and teacher training expert for selling all Tes Institute products and services within a specified territory, supporting the wider international sales team and regional account owners.

The School Advisor will need to have a highly developed understanding of the local education and teacher training landscape, as well as a good understanding of sales from generating new business to ensuring customer value from excellent account management. In addition, this role will require someone capable of building effective relationships with school leaders and local partners either face to face, online or over the phone.

This role will require significant travel to forge relationships with new clients and partners in the region. The ability to operate flexibly, in a fast-paced environment, and build strong relationships with key team members from international sales across Tes, operational programme delivery and product development, both within Tes Institute and across the wider business will be critical.

Please be aware, this is a full time roles based on the ground in Malaysia. Any candidate would need to be eligible to work in these locations to be considered. The role offers a competitive basic salary and an excellent benefits package.
