The Engineering UTC is looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Professional Standards and Inclusion Lead.  The successful candidate will lead the professional standards team in supporting learning by providing pastoral support to students and staff, including behaviour, student welfare and safeguarding. Under the direction of the Assistant Principal - Professional Standards and Culture, the Professional Standards Lead will provide professional standards, attendance, inclusion, pastoral and student services support to students, staff and parents/carers.  Experience in safeguarding and welfare is essential as this post holder will also be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.  It is essential that the person for this role is organised, able to multitask, work flexibly and have a ‘can do’ approach to work, as no two days are the same.

We are a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Scunthorpe, serving pupils between the age of 14-19. We have a strong belief in the power of good relationships. All students wear business dress, have a professional attitude  and feel safe and cared for. We provide vocational learning opportunities that relate to business and industry, allowing for students to be a step ahead when applying for work in the future. Students who are successful in completing their education at the UTC are guaranteed a place at the University of Hull or have the chance to be fast-tracked on to the many engineering apprensticeships in the area
