The Faculty of English, Languages and IB is dedicated to providing high quality teaching and learning experiences across a range of A level courses including English Literature, English Language, Modern Foreign Languages and Classical Civilisation. The Faculty also leads our very successful International Baccalaureate programme at the College. The progression, success rates and progress of our learners are excellent. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Faculty as a Programme Leader in A Level English Literature and we are looking for an outstanding teacher with the ability to inspire learners and support them to enjoy and achieve.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for motivating and supporting learners to maximise their potential. You will be a committed advocate of English Literature, and the value of the subject to learners today. Ideally you will have a track record of proven excellence in achieving outstanding outcomes at Level 3, and will be dedicated to consistently honing and refining your approaches to teaching, learning and assessment. As an innovative and creative practitioner, you will inspire high levels of learner engagement and enjoyment. You will have the ability to build productive working relationships with learners and to provide high quality pastoral care as an A Level tutor. Working within the Faculty of English, Languages and IB, you will also need to have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and to be a strong communicator.
