Programme Leader - Journalism

We are looking for enthusiastic and inspiring lecturer to join the Media Team, in the Faculty of Media and Performing Arts, to fill a maternity cover post. Working within a highly successful and creative team, the successful candidate will deliver exceptional teaching and learning to our Journalism learners and support them with their line of sight into higher education or industry.  

The Centre for Creative Industries is located in Exeter City Centre opposite Central station and the building boasts a TV Studio and radio station as well as a number of mac suites which support curriculum delivery.   The BBC run a working studio in the building (supporting Spotlight and BBC Radio Devon) and work collaboratively alongside our teaching teams to deliver industry information and experiences to our learners.  We seek opportunities to support teams and extend their subject knowledge and Media staff have had training from BBC team members as part of their ongoing professional development.  Candidates will need to hold a formal teaching qualification and experience of teaching and tutoring 16-18 year olds.
