About Us

The Harris Leadership College is the leadership development centre for the Harris Federation, its academies, and other schools. We provide high-quality leadership training to schools and academies in and around London. The School-Led Network programmes build on what we know from practice works; enabling school leaders from across the country to enhance their leadership and develop others. Our NPQs are designed and delivered by leaders from some of the UK’s most successful and top-performing schools and MATs, including Harris Federation, Outwood Grange Academies Trust, Star Academies and a range of NE schools and MATs. These schools exemplify practical excellence in school leadership, teaching, behaviour and teacher development. We want to work with other schools and partnerships so we can learn together.

We’re committed to sharing learning and building capability with other schools to enable these new programmes to achieve maximum impact by raising the bar to improve outcomes for young people.

The Harris Federation is a not-for-profit educational charity with almost 25 years of education experience in and around London. Our primary, secondary, all-through and sixth form academies have an international reputation for delivering a step change in education standards.

In joining a Harris Academy, you will be working with some of the country’s most exceptional teachers, support staff and leaders. There are frequent opportunities for internal exchange and promotion; our CPD is regularly described as Outstanding; and we have a package of staff benefits that rivals the most competitive of other professions.

Each Harris Academy is led and run by its senior leaders and has its own curriculum and way of doing things. What our Academies share, however, is a commitment to giving their children and teenagers an excellent education within a happy, caring and supportive environment.

There are Harris Academies in many different settings – inner city and suburban – but they are all within a maximum ninety minute commute from each other. This enables a highly collaborative structure, with on-call support from the Harris Federation.
