Job overview

We would like to appoint an excellent teacher of Science (Physics specialism) to support the work of the Science leadership team. Specific responsibilities will depend on the strengths of the successful candidate and will link to the department’s improvement plan. This post will provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience of a leadership position. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence and will have a real desire to engage all students in effective learning.

Trinity School is a successful and friendly 11-18 mixed comprehensive school of just under 1700 students, of whom around 350 are in the Sixth Form. We offer excellent induction, support and professional development.

Trinity School is a mixed, non-selective Church of England secondary school with sixth form, situated in Carlisle, Cumbria. There are over 1,700 students at the school between the ages of 11-18.

Trinity School converted to academy status in 2011. It opened in 1968, the result of the amalgamation of Carlisle Grammar School, the Margaret Sewell School for Girls and the Creighton School for Boys.
