Tadley Court school which was recently awarded an overall rating of Good with Outstanding personal development, behaviour and welfare and Outstanding in our sixth form provision  is set in a beautiful semi rural location with four acres of well maintained grounds. We are a day school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 5 and 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Our children and young people may also exhibit challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.

The role:

We currently have a vacancy within our Multidisciplinary Therapy Team for a Psychology Assistant to work 37.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term-time).

As a Psychology Assistant you will provide support including administrative support to professional and clinical staff with the planning, implementation and evaluation of therapy and care plans in order to support the mental, emotional, physical and social well-being of our children and young people.

If so, you will work across the education and residential settings where you will support the plans put in place by the Educational Psychologist and the Residential and Therapy Services Manager.  This will include the teaching and coaching of education and residential support staff to ensure that plans are followed and strategies are delivered consistently across a 24 hour curriculum.

To succeed you will possess:

  • A psychology degree
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • A working knowledge of ASD and its associated difficulties
  • Emotional resilience
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness
  • A strong 'can do' attitude
  • Highly developed organisational skills
