Salary:        £25,334 - £55,000 per annum dependent on experience

Hours:             37.5 hours per week; 8:00-4:00

Contract:          Permanent, Term Time Only

About the role

Due to a recent expansion, we are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join our Clinical Hub, working as a key integrated member of our clinical and education team in our brand new Ashley Park School. In this exciting new role, you will work collaboratively to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs.

You will implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to helping our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy. Undertaking all aspects of Psychotherapy clinical duties, you will adhere to professional and regulatory guidelines, carrying out specialist individual assessments and interventions, and preparing relevant documentation, including writing reports. A significant element of this role will be working alongside the onsite clinical team to establish the clinical service provision for the school include providing support and training to staff and parents.

Essential Criteria:

  • Recognised and relevant psychotherapy qualification
  • Full membership with a recognised psychotherapy professional body
  • Experience within the specialist client group. (complex communication issues relating to autism, language disorder, sensory impairment, learning disabilities/difficulties and associated challenging behaviour, gross and fine motor skill difficulties)
  • Experience of working within an educational setting would be advantageous
  • Relevant post-qualification experience working as a psychotherapist
  • Skills in co-working, liaison and consultation with others, especially with regard to highly complex cases
  • Specialist knowledge of psychotherapy assessments and interventions
  • Ability to carry out both 1:1 and group sessions
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, complex, technical and clinically sensitive information to the specific client group, their carers and families and a wide range of professionals outside the service
