IAT is working closely with our public sector partners in UAE to deliver a Diploma Programme in Public Safety for Emirati students. The Programme is expected to start in January 2021 and in relation to this we are looking for qualified and experienced candidates in Industry & Academic areas on Part Time (with NOC letter from sponsor) or Full Time basis.
The candidates should possess the following qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
Bachelor Degree or higher in Public Safety, Disaster or Emergency Planning, Risk Management, Environment, Health and Safety or other closely related disciplines so long as they cover the stated requirements
Ideally Preferred:
- Professional qualifications related to Public Safety or Disaster or Emergency Planning
- Professional qualifications for the following:
- Teaching or Training
- PGCE or Trainer qualification
- Assessor Qualification
- Internal Quality Assurer (IV) qualification
- OSHAD, OHSMS, NCEMA, Biosecurity, Epidemiology, Child Safety Techniques, Search & Rescue, Outbreak of Disease, Fire Fighting or other relevant professional qualification
Note: candidates may not be from an education background but provided they have some experience of teaching and assessment we will consider them. They must however commit to undertaking a full professional development program which will cover the Trainer, Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer qualifications. The should achieve within the probation period (six months from starting) the Trainer and Assessor qualifications.
Experience:
- Experience of managing public safety in the context disaster or emergency
- Experience of the volunteering sector

Applied Technology High School - Abu Dhabi Male aims to provide a career-based technical education for its students. The school wishes to embrace technology. It has affirmed that it wishes for its students to be able to take advantage of technology in the form of iPads and iBooks. Students are also given the opportunity to watch podcasts of professionals in the work place, or explanations about specific topics. In addition, through its Learning Resource Centre, the school aims to provide students with access to resources and up-to-date information in both print and electronic format. The school’s Learning Resource Centre is intended to be a student-centred, dynamic learning hub, which provides the means to transform the students’ learning experience from a conventional one into an interactive, autonomous, one-to-one learning experience. Information Literacy sessions are also provided for students with the aim of developing their critical thinking skills and their ability to conduct research in a thorough manner. Overall, the school aims to offer a distinctive educational experience that integrates career and technical education and that has a rigorous academic core.
