Who are we looking for?

We are looking for positive role models who would like to make a difference to the lives of our pupils and their families. Care or Support experience would be an advantage but just as important are the right personal qualities and a real desire to encourage positive outcomes. We would like to hear from people who have caring and nurturing qualities coupled with good levels of positivity, resilience and tenacity, who would like to utilise these skills to support the children attending Belmont School.

This is a great opportunity to join a team, who make a positive difference to children’s lives every day.

About the School:

Belmont Primary School is an independent SEMH school for boys aged 5 to 11 and is part of the Acorn Care and Education, which has many schools across the country. Our Victorian school building has been completely refurbished to provide 7 modern classrooms, each with ICT provision, plus various specialist rooms and great outdoor play facilities.

The approach is individually based, in line with the Code of Practice and the school aims to forge practical working partnerships with pupils, parents/carers and involved professionals.  The aim of the establishment is to encourage children to achieve and succeed personally, academically and socially.  We also aim to develop a self-confidence that will enable them to cope in everyday situations, and manage the transition from school to college or work environments.

The intention is to provide a local resource for pupils, parents and local authorities within one-hour travelling distance; this will allow children to be retained within their family and community environments.

About the Group:

We are part of Acorn Care and Education and can promise you plenty of challenges, and a rich variety of opportunities to develop your career.

We provide Education and Care across a number of schools and residential homes nationally. Our specialist SEN provision, coupled with our expertise within residential care means we offer thousands of vulnerable children and young people across the UK a holistic, wraparound care, residential and education service, empowering them with everything they need to flourish. It is by no accident that 94% of our homes are rated as Outstanding or Good.

We welcome staff who share our commitment to help children experience better days and better lives. Through ongoing development and training, we ensure our staff are well prepared for their jobs and given every opportunity to extend their skills.

Acorn Care and Education is part of the Outcomes First Group.
