Alpha Plus is a private education provider for children aged between one and eighteen. Founded in 1931, we have grown to become a group of 20 highly regarded independent schools and colleges. The combined group had a turnover in 2019 of £111m, with over 1,000 staff and is continuously growing.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity is based at our Head Office in Marylebone, London where we administer the accounts for both the UK and US companies. We are looking for a bright individual with excellent attention to detail, who will be able to work well as part of the Head Office finance team and also build close relationships with the finance staff working in the schools and colleges.
The successful candidate is likely to have at least 2 years’ work experience in purchase ledger.
Responsibilities - primarily responsible for Purchase Ledger.
- Checking supplier invoice coding and authorisation
- Inputting supplier invoices into Sun Accounting
- Setting up new suppliers
- Supplier reconciliations
- Dealing with queries from schools/colleges and suppliers
- Assisting with payment runs (BACS and on-line banking)
- Ad hoc queries
- Sun Accounting experience preferred
- Good Excel skills required
