Purchase Ledger Clerk
Supporting Futures at Selby College have a new role for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to manage the processing of invoices and other essential financial documents onto the college finance software. You will have responsibility for monitoring the system, highlighting any anomalies and acting to advise or rectify.
The Key Tasks of the Role
• To manage the processing of purchase invoices on to the purchase ledger in accordance with Financial Procedures. Ensuring all invoices due to suppliers are paid promptly and information stored
• Reconciliation of supplier statements and the purchase ledger control account
• Management of on-line orders via credit card and reconcile monthly to the statement
• The responsibility of banking processing and reconciling against daily statements
• Processing of daily bank information onto the finance system
- Providing support to two Primary Schools through the Selby Educational Trust
The Person
• You must have Purchase Ledger experience
• The ideal candidate will be a part qualified accounting technician
• You must be computer literate and numerate
• The ability to work with minimum supervision is essential
• You will work well within a team and support colleagues with additional duties as and when required
• You will be organised, efficient and be able to communicate well with others
Terms and Conditions
Salary: £7949 to £8503 per annum (FTE £19,608 to £20,975)
Hours of work: 15 hours per week – Monday to Friday.
Weeks per year: 52
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days, plus statutory holidays
Closing date: 11th March 2021
All work in the College involves some degree of responsibility for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, although the extent of that responsibility will vary according to the nature of the role. A disclosure and barring check will be required for this role.
