Job overview

To enrich our Early Learning Center (ELC) and Primary School team, we are currently looking for a PYP Coordinator with a 50% teaching load.

The role of our PYP Coordinator

You are a well experienced Primary School teacher and curriculum leader. 

You inspire and drive the development and implementation of the ELC/Primary School curriculum within the IB PYP framework and in compliance with the “Berliner Rahmenlehrplan” requirements. 

You are a member of the Primary School Educational Leadership Team and meet regularly with school administrators, coordinators, team leaders, classroom and specialist teachers to coordinate, lead, and ensure effective curriculum planning, documentation and assessment; and to identify and address PYP and curriculum related professional development needs. 

You are responsible for all PYP administrative procedures as well as overseeing any other curriculum related issues as they arise.

Your role moves beyond advocacy to provide active and dynamic leadership, coaching and support to inspire and ensure best teaching and learning practices. 

You identify and report issues to the appropriate principal with expediency, and help to resolve issues once identified.

Your profile

A Bachelors or Master’s degree in Primary Education. 

A minimum of five years teaching experience with at least three years in a PYP environment. 

PYP training and PYP teaching experience. 

Prior experience in a Leadership/Coordinator role in a school setting. 

Desirably experience in leading PYP workshops, with external International accrediting bodies (CIS, ACE, NEASC, IB) and in utilizing technology (Managebac, Seesaw, Timetabler etc).
