Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Kowloon Junior School (KJS) for enthusiastic and experienced PYP Co-ordinator to join our Leadership Team from August 2018.

KJS is a very large, well-established five form entry international primary school catering for 900 students from Year 1 to Year 6. KJS is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and is an IB World School. Teaching and learning at KJS is rich in inquiry and underpinned by a rigorous approach to pedagogy and practice.

At KJS, our staff work in close partnership to realise our school vision, “Success for Every Child”. Our aim is to help students develop the confidence, self-esteem and motivation necessary to “become lifelong learners who are empowered to take action to make a positive difference in the world”. The successful candidate will be employed on a two years renewable contract with a teaching and learning responsibility allowance (TLR2).

Requirements

You will be an enthusiastic, talented and experienced PYP Co-ordinator with the required knowledge, skills and understanding to work closely with an experienced team of educators, dedicated to catering for the needs of all children in their care. In addition to being an exemplar practitioner, you will also know how to work effectively as part of a team, be extremely well organised; and possess excellent spoken and written English skills. Your warm personality coupled with strong interpersonal skills will enable you to communicate effectively with all members of the school community.
