Job overview

Be part of our journey…

We are now seeking applicants looking to join our QES team in September 2023. As we launch our new 6th form, QE6, and look to build on the impressive improvements we have already made, Queen Elizabeth School is seeking teachers in a number of subjects who may be looking for a new challenge or to start their teaching career.

QES are accepting applications from any member of the teaching community looking to join us, and particularly welcome applications from teachers with experience of teaching at key stage 5. Based on our school priorities we are currently looking for teachers with teaching experience in the following subjects:

  • Maths
  • Health & social care
  • IT
  • DT
  • PE
  • English
  • Humanities

However, if you have experience in another subject but would like an informal conversation to assess how you may fit in to our team, then please get in touch.

For more information on these exciting changes at QES, and the sixth form, please visit QESLuton and QE6Luton.

A little bit of QES history.

Since relaunching in September 2021 with a new name and a new ethos, Queen Elizabeth School is quickly establishing itself as a centre for excellence. We are on a mission to “empower our students to achieve academic excellence through aspiration and innovation”. With the support of a highly ambitious leadership team and surrounded by colleagues who are passionate about the whole student experience, and with our new sixth form, QE6 opening in September 2023, now is a fantastic time to join our forward thinking school.

Whatever their role in the school, all of our colleagues share a passion for learning and working with the next generation.

Situated on the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire border and close to the market town of Hitchin, the school also benefits from being within five minutes drive of idyllic countryside locations, yet being 5 minutes from the M1 and London Luton Airport.
