Job overview

A Specialist Residential School based in Doncaster is looking to appoint a QTVI (Qualified Teacher of Visually Impaired Children), starting as soon as possible, working 3.5 days per week.

The ideal Teacher will:
•Good communication with colleagues and team members

• A clear focus on the specific needs of the child and or young person, with a focus on the educational development of the learner. 

• Be very adaptable, have a calming nature and be good at building relationships with key support contacts and families.
•Be committed to raising standards within the special needs sector
 

This role can be extremely challenging but highly rewarding engaging with vulnerable young people, families and other agencies to help them develop and achieve. Qualified teachers of children and young people with vision impairment (QTVI) play a crucial role in the development and education of blind and partially sighted learners.

As the successful Teacher you must hold QTS along with a valid teaching qualification. Also, having a Team Teach qualification would be an advantage.
