Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday term time only

We currently have a vacancy within our teaching team for a Qualified Teacher.  This post will suit a professional individual who is prepared to work flexibly in a vibrant, caring and supportive educational environment.  The successful candidate will develop, plan and deliver the required level and standard of education to our students through creative application of professional knowledge and teaching techniques. 

The post holder will be involved with the following:-

  • Teaching a class of pupils ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs. 
  • Maintaining the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom. 
  • Distributing timely and accurate reports to all stakeholders including SLT, Governors and parent/carers.

Kingsmere School is an independent special day school with its own grounds in a rural location in Cambridgeshire. The school caters for school for boys aged from 11 to 16 years old with complex needs which include behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (also known as SEMH or BESD). Some of the young people in our care have additional needs such as autism, post-traumatic stress disorder or attachment disorder, sexual harmful behaviour.
