Contract: We currently have two permanent and two fixed term Qualifications Manager opportunities available.  These are full time (37 hours per week) however requests for alternative working patterns, including part-time and job share may be discussed at interview.
The fixed term roles are contracted for up to four years from appointment and as a result of additional time limited work associated with qualifications reform.  There may be a possibility of permanency.

Salary and Benefits: Band 4 – Salary range £37,600 - £44,950 per annum
In addition to salary we offer 30 days annual leave (alongside public holidays and up to three days office closure at Christmas), flexible working arrangements and membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme.

This team are particularly interested in broadening their knowledge base in terms of vocational qualifications as some successful candidates will be initially appointed to this work.

Qualifications Wales was established in 2015 as the independent regulator of qualifications and the qualification system in Wales. We are responsible for ensuring that qualifications and the qualifications system are effective in meeting the reasonable needs of learners in Wales, and for promoting public confidence in these.   We are a public body, funded by Welsh Government and are accountable for our work to the National Assembly for Wales.
This appointment will initially be made to the Qualifications Policy and Reform Directorate and the successful candidates will initially lead on key projects relating to the review and reform of vocational and technical qualifications in Wales. This work is high profile and influential. Qualifications Managers will play a lead role in qualifications review and reform projects and programmes.
It involves high level engagement with employers, employer bodies, subject and professional experts, learning providers and awarding bodies. The postholder(s) will take a lead role in developing and defining our expectations and requirements for new qualifications, in procuring and managing contracts for the development of those qualifications and in ensuring that, once developed, the qualifications are fit for purpose and that learning providers are well-prepared to offer them.

Cewch eich penodi i'r Gyfarwyddiaeth Polisi a Diwygio Cymwysterau i ddechrau a bydd yr ymgeiswyr llwyddiannus yn dechrau drwy arwain prosiectau allweddol yn ymwneud â'r gwaith o adolygu a diwygio cymwysterau galwedigaethol  a thechnegol yng Nghymru. Mae'r gwaith hwn yn waith proffil uchel a dylanwadol. Bydd y Rheolwyr Cymwysterau yn chwarae rôl flaenllaw mewn prosiectau a rhaglenni adolygu a diwygio cymwysterau.
Mae'n cynnwys lefel uchel o ymgysylltu â chyflogwyr, cyrff cyflogwyr, arbenigwyr pwnc ac arbenigwyr proffesiynol, darparwyr dysgu a chyrff dyfarnu. Bydd deiliad/deiliaid y swydd yn ymgymryd â rôl flaenllaw o ran datblygu a diffinio ein disgwyliadau a'n gofynion ar gyfer y cymwysterau newydd, caffael a rheoli contractau ar gyfer datblygu'r cymwysterau hynny a sicrhau bod y cymwysterau, ar ôl iddynt gael eu datblygu, yn addas at y diben a bod y darparwyr dysgu yn barod i'w cynnig.
