International American/British Sections in the Southeast of France,

ASEICA is a pioneering association that has been providing bilingual education on the French Riviera for forty years in and around the Sophia Antipolis Science Park. The Association is certified by the French Ministry of Education to provide teachers and programs in French public schools in the areas of: English Language Arts & Literature and History & Geography. We are present in seven teaching establishments with 1,800 international pupils, from primary level (age 6) through middle and high school (up to age 18).

Academic standards are high and many of our Baccalauréat français international students go on to top universities in England, USA, Canada and elsewhere in the world. We also provide university guidance counseling to our high school students.

We are currently seeking a fully qualified History-Geography teacher for US grades 6-12 (ability to teach English Language Arts and Literature and/or Theater is a plus) for the 2023-2024 academic year:

Requirements:

  • Native level English speaker (providing education to mother-tongue English and French speakers and to a multi-lingual international student body)
  • University diploma in the teaching subject (B.A. minimum level required); Masters Degree highly desired, or other qualified status; qualification obtained in an English-speaking country.
  • Legally able to work in France and/or the EU highly preferred
  • Minimum three years' teaching experience (preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Desire to work within an international educational community and an awareness of the needs of an international, multilingual and multicultural student body
  • Sound knowledge of French preferred, together with an interest in French culture
  • IB, OIB, AP, or A level examining experience desired
  • Ability to teach in more than one subject area desired (i.e. English Language Arts and Literature, Theater, etc.)
