About Us

Broadlands Hall School caters for boys aged between 9 – 20 years, all of whom are on the autistic spectrum with associated learning disabilities.

We are now looking for Teachers to join our fantastic team.

The Role

Our young people mostly receive one-to-one teaching and support and the staff are dedicated to reaching every students’ potential. This includes preparing them for life outside of our children’s homes with life skills such as preparation of meals, gardening and looking after themselves to taking GCSE and other appropriate examinations. The School is extremely well resourced and it is set beautiful grounds which gives the students further opportunities for outdoor learning. Broadlands Hall School is proud to be rated by Ofsted as Good with Outstanding features.

You will be responsible for supporting the teaching and learning with students, working to ensure the curriculum matches the ability of our young people while maximising their potential to progress.

If you have experience of working with students who have an Autism diagnosis, that will be an advantage but is not required. Our current staff team has a range of experiences and backgrounds; for example, parents, care homes, primary, secondary and special schools.

You will care passionately about each student as an individual.  You will be able to observe and listen and then respond to advice. You will be able to implement strategies for raising achievement across the curriculum and be committed to your further professional development. You will be non-judgemental, resilient and totally committed to raising standards in a purposeful and contented environment.

You will be confident and happy to work with young people of any age or ability. Some of our students have communication difficulties associated with their diagnosis. They need support to make the most of their talents and abilities. Broadlands Hall School is well staffed and committed to the professional development of all.
